Will it Stack?


No playable Quest Giver update at the moment, so we'll share what we’ve both been working on this week:

📜 Darz is writing a big UI code refactor to use a Stack in order to determine where mouse and keyboard input should be routed. This means that UI elements which are not currently “in focus” won’t receive input anymore, so we’ll no longer need to rely on hiding some screens under others *cough cough*.

🎨 Meanwhile, Zal has been hard at work setting up the project for automatic asset loading and texture packing. This will be extremely handy when we get around to recoloring the game! The Gameboy aesthetic was fun for the jam version, but we plan to branch out for the full release.
